微软于今日正式发表，将随 Xbox 360 主机同步推出新一代「Xbox Live 游乐场（Arcade）」服务，并公布了 35 家以上的加盟游戏厂商，以及年底前预定推出的 21 款游戏，供玩家参考。
「Xbox Live 游乐场」是利用 Xbox Live 的网络下载方式，提供玩家各种休闲小品游戏的服务。玩家可透过 Xbox Live 的付费机制，来购买各种怀旧经典或是休闲小品游戏游玩。
本次所发表、针对新一代主机 Xbox 360 的「Xbox Live 游乐场」服务，将随北美、欧洲与日本地区的 Xbox 360 主机一同推出。新一代「Xbox Live 游乐场」除了继承先前 Xbox 平台的服务模式之外，并将透过新一代 Xbox Live 更为丰富的功能与付费方式来加以强化，所提供的游戏款式也将大幅增加。
目前已有 35 家以上的游戏厂商加入「Xbox Live 游乐场」游戏的提供，除了微软旗下厂商之外，还包括 ATARI、CAPCOM、EA、HUDSON、KONAMI、NAMCO、SEGA、Ubisoft、VUG 等美日欧游戏大厂在内，预定于年底前在北美地区推出多达 21 款游戏，明年夏季前推出 35 款，其中包括了由益智游戏经典名作《俄罗斯方块》作者 Alexay Pajitnov 所制作的《旋转泡泡球 HD（Hexic HD）》在内。
